Pour the wine into a large ( 13 x 9 or larger ) sheet pan with lips. Freeze for at least 8 + hours. Bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar, reduce the heat to low, and stir until all of the sugar is disolved. You just made a simple syrup. Add the strawberries to the simple syrup, and give it a stir. Let this mixture sit for around 30 minutes to infuse the simple syrup with the flavor of the strawberries.

Strain the strawberry syrup through a sieve, but do not mash the strawberries through, just let it flow through naturaly. Save the strained strawberries to put on some ice cream later, because that would be delicious. Oh, but the syrup, chill the syrup for 30 minutes.

Remember to drink resposibly and never drink and drive, The life you save may very well be your own.                                                        Your friend John D. Have a blessed day my friends.

The Real Cost Of A DWI: It’s not money.

Today I would like to talk about a subject that is very dear to me. In fact, I am making it my mission in life to put an end to it. That is the subject of drinking and driving. As I have said above, the real cost of a DWI, it’s not money, however you will end paying a lot out-of-pocket if you are ever charged driving while intoxicated. Don’t worry, we will get into that further down in this article. First I want to talk about the real cost of a DWI.

The Real Cost:The Shame Of It:

Yes it is going to cost you a lot of money if you ever get caught drinking and driving. That is just money, and we can always make more money. Now, if you ask me, the real cost of a DWI will be the shame that is brought to your friends and family.

This is something that you can not erase. The shame of a DWI is the one thing that will follow you around for the rest of your life. You will never be able to get away from the shame of this act.

It may even cost you some family members as well as some friends. Ask yourself is drinking and driving worth the cost of losing friends and family members? If you ask me, no it is not.

I am not saying to never have a cocktail, or a beer or two. I am saying drink responsibly. If you are going to be out in a public place while enjoying an alcoholic beverage or two, have a plan in place if by some chance you become too inebriated to drive. Make sure that you have a designated driver, someone who is not going to be enjoying some alcoholic beverages. If you do not have someone who is completely sober to drive, then make sure that you have the means to pay for a taxi, or an Uber, or lyft or some other ride share program. With all the ways to get home these days ther is absolutely no excuse for drinking and driving.

The Money:Money To Burn:

Now if the shame of getting a DWI isn’t enough for you not to drink and drive, then perhaps what it will cost you in money will deter you from drinking and driving. I know that this has stopped a few people from drinking and driving. Like my youngest son, who got caught while stationed in Hawaii.

He not only had to pay $9,000 for his lawyer, he also lost rank, plus he had to go to captains mast. So now he will not be getting a good conduct award as well. I am pretty sure that he has learned his lesson. Thankfully, he didn’t harm anyone including himself.

Now I have done a little digging as to what you can expect to pay for a DWI. $9,000 is a lot of money for just about everyone in the world. And it is on the low end of what you could end up paying for a fine. On the high end, you can expect to pay upwards of $ 30,000 for a fine.

You could also end up spending some time in jail to go along with the monetary fine. Boy, how is that going to look on a job application? What is your children going to think when they have to visit you in jail? Not to mention what their friends are going to say to them. Plus the financial stress that it will put your spouse or significant other under. Chances are, you could end up losing your job, your home, everything that you have worked hard for all your life, gone in a matter of seconds. All because you had to have that last drink, and get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. If you ask me, it just isn’t worth it.

You Killed Someone:Vehicular Manslaughter:

Well now you have done it, committed a mortal sin. You have caused a motor vehicle accident, and the driver of the vehicle that hit has died. You have caused the life of another human being to come to an end. What now?

You are definitely going to jail now, plus you will have all the fines as well. And you also have to live with the guilt of taking someone’s life. Leaving another without a husband, father, wife, mother, or a sibling. Either way, you get my point. And if you don’t, may God have mercy on your soul.

Although, it is my belief that if you have taken the life of another person, you are not granted the stairway to heaven. You are however shown the highway to hell. Maybe now you can see the real cost of a DWI and it is not money. For any of you who have been to this site before, you know how I feel.about drinking and driving. I want you to have a cocktail or two, I just do not want you to drive after having a drink or two.

please, if you are going to drink, do not drive afterwards. Even if you only have to drive a block or two, take a cab, get a ride from.a friend, walk home, anything but drive. I do not want to see you hurt yourself, or someone else. It is not worth what can happen. It is not maybe something bad will happen, it’s when something bad will happen. You can always do what I do when I want to have a drink or two, stay home and drink. That way, the only one you hurt is yourself.

You Have A Problem:

If you even think that you have a problem with drinking or drug use, you not only owe it too yourself, but to your loved as well to seek help. There are plenty of places in every single community where you can go to just talk to someone, or to simply listen.

I guarantee that there are others who are going through the exact same thing that you are going through. I don’t care where you live, there is always some place that you can go for help.

The first step in getting help, is admitting that you have a problem. And believe me, you have a problem, whether you want to admit it or not. If you decide to drive after having a couple of drinks, then you have a problem.

All you have to do is walk into alcoholics anonymous meeting, and listen to what the others there are saying. I bet you that what they are saying is going to sound a lot like your current life. Trust me with this one, if drinking is causing you to lose your job, and your family, then you have a problem, and you need some help. Please do not let this ruin what you have. Or worse yet, cause you to end up taking a life.

Get Some Help:

Bottom line my friends, if your drinking is costing you everything that you have worked hard for all your life, please pick up the phone and call someone for help. There is no shame in asking for help, only not asking for help and then hurting yourself or someone else.

I am not saying you have to not drink, just do it responsibly and ease don’t drink.and drive the life you save may very well be your own. Have a blessed day my friends. Sincerely: John D.
