Good day everyone, I sincerely hope that you all are having a spirited day. I am really glad that you stopped by today. I am going to be talking about my favorite Bourbon drink recipes. As well as my absolute favorite Bourbon to drink. So please stick around, and have a drink with me.
MY FAVORITE BOURBON:
My hands down favorite Bourbon to drink, well that’s a no brainer, Jim Beam. Now don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of other bourbons on the market today. However when it comes to bourbon recipes, Jim Beam is the only one that I prefer to use. Now I am a simple man, and I keep my mixes simple. With that being said, my go to drink with Bourbon is a easy recipe. So to start with, you need a sixteen to eighteen oz. glass, fill halfway up with ice, pour Jim Beam over the ice, and then fill the cup the rest of the way with 7up or some other kind of lemon lime soda. I usually just buy a 2ltr. bottle of Sam’s choice lemon lime soda for 60 cents.
I know that is a simple drink, and most of you may be looking for something a bit more sophisticated. Well don’t worry, I have you folks covered as well. This was a first for me to just say how simple of a man I am. However if you stay a little while longer, I promise, you won’t be disappointed. In the next section of our chat, I have found a few Bourbon drink recipes, that I believe you will really enjoy.
This is a Bourbon drink recipe that is sure to brighten the morning. You will need a few items. Ingredients: half an oz. Of grenadine, 1oz of Jim Beam Bourbon, 3 oz’s of orange juice, orange slices, and some stem cherries . Prepare in a tall highball glass. Don’t worry, if you do not have one, any tall glass that you have will suffice just fine. Float the grenadine, and garnish with the orange slice, or the cherry. If you feel adventurous, you can garnish with both the orange slice, or the cherry.
In my opinion this is the perfect cocktail to serve at a brunch. Especially if you are trying to impress your friends. I should remind you that this along with all the cocktails in this post, should be built over ice. Let’s be real, nobody likes warm drinks, especially in the summer. Particularly with the heat we are having around the globe this summer. So promise me you will chill your creations. Believe me, you do not want to hand your father in law a warm cocktail. If you like this one let me know. But before we go, I just happen to have two more Bourbon drink recipes for you to enjoy so please, keep reading.
JIM BEAM BOURBON SOUR:
Remember I mentioned above, to build these cocktails over ice, let’s get right into what you will need. Ingredients: 2oz’s of Jim Beam Bourbon, 1oz. of lemon juice half an oz. of lemon lime soda, half a teaspoon of sugar, lemon wedge and a cherry. To make, mix Bourbon, lemon juice, sugar, and ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously, and strain into a whiskey sour glass, again, if you do not have a sour glass a short glass of any kind you have lying around will do just as good. All that is left to do now, is garnish with a lemon wedge and a cherry.Oh, this one sounds so mouth watering good. My taste buds are on fire for this one. A perfect cocktail for that afternoon meeting, or on that long layover. As always let me know how this one is for you.
Don’t you dare take off just yet, we’re just getting comfortable. After all isn’t that what Bourbon drinks are all about. Sitting back with good friends and catching up on all the things we missed with each other. Whether it has been a day or two, or year or two. No matter what the occasion, a good Bourbon drink is always in order. And besides, did you think that I was going to leave without giving one more fabulous bourbon drink recipe? Well no, I have one more for you, trust me this one is perfect on a hot evening after work, or hell any darn time you want to cool off, or get warmed up. Or whenever you feel like a cocktail.
KENTUCKY SWEET TEA:
Did I lie ? A sweet tea, not just for the south. Perfect for a warm day, or any other time. This one is probably going to become a favorite one of yours. Alright I’ll stop rambling and get down to business. Ingredients: 1oz. of Dekuyper ( Peachtree) Schnapps liqueur, 2 oz’s of bourbon, then 3oz’s of sweet tea, you can probably get away with using powdered tea mix and no one would be the wiser. And last but not least, a lemon wedge. To prepare, build over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge. Boy oh boy, this sounds really refreshing. Keep in mind, you do not have to use powdered tea mix. You can always brew your own tea, and add as much or as little sugar. You won’t need a whole lot of sugar though. Bourbon is not that harsh. I think that this is the one alcohol that gets overlooked way too much. And we need to bring this back up to the front of our liquor cabinets.
Well there you have it:
