Can This Be The End Of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey?

I don’t know if you follow the news about every little thing that goes on in the world. But, have you heard that some parts of the United Kingdom have pulled Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey from the shelves of stores? Now you may be asking yourself why, and we will be getting to that a little bit latter on in the article. So, stick around for a little while and we be talking about more on this subject. This may be causing some concern here in the United States as well. Forcing the food and drug administration to take a closer look at why the UK has decided to pull this favorite whiskey of a lot of people from the shelves. I for one am hoping that the whiskey does not end up getting pulled from the stores here in the US. I just recently discovered how good this whiskey is in cola as a mixed drink. Can this be the end of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey? I sure hope not.

Why Is It Going Away?Last Call:

I am not saying that this popular whiskey is going to disappear from liquor stores here in the United States. With a few parts of the United Kingdom removing the product from its stores, may cause the FDA to take a closer look at why the UK did remove it from sales.

So, why exactly did the UK remove this much liked whiskey from being sold? well, they found that the product contained an ingredient that is commonly found in antifreeze. Ethelyn Glycol. I know, that sounds bad, but, this ingredient is in a lot of things other than coolant for our cars.

In small quantities, it is not harmful when ingested. The amount of the ingredient that is in Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey is so minuscule that you have no reason to be afraid of drinking it. I myself just had a drink with it on this past Thursday, and I feel 100% fine. Granted that I am not having a bunch of drinks of this liquor, Like I said small amounts will not harm you.

Don’t Be Afraid:Fear:

I bet, that if you take a look at some more popular products on the market, you will fin some funky ingredients in them as well. We are talking about items that you use on a day to day basis. Go ahead, I dare you to take a look at some every day products in your home that you use on a daily basis. Look at the ingredients that are in the deodorant that you use every morning. Some of them contain aluminum.

Did I shock you with that one? Are you going to stop using deodorant now, and go around stinking all day? I certainly am not going to stop using it. and why should I? For the same reason that I am not going to stop drinking Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey. As long as they keep it on the shelf, I will continue to buy, ans consume the product.

Before I forget to mention it, if you use any of the links in this post, and purchase this fantastic whiskey before they decide to get rid of it, you can save 17% off the regular price. Just my way of trying to help you save some money, What do you think of that my friends? I am more than happy to help you save money.

Live Your Life:Life To It's Fullest

Sorry, but you can go through life worrying about what might kill you. You can walk out your front door this morning and be shot down. Or perhaps, god forbid you end up in a car accident on the way to work or on the way home from work. Maybe you slip in the shower and hit your head on the water spicket. No, I am not wishing ill will on you, all I am saying is that anything can happen at any time.

If we spend our lives thinking of what could happen to us, we never end up leaving the house. Who wants to live like that? I certainly do not, do you? Life gave me a second chance a few years back.

When I was at the young age of 37 I ended up having a heart attack, the widow maker is what the doctors said. Today I am 53 years young. So, I know a thing about wanting to live, and this was not my first brush with death. The first time was on the USS Midway, I got blown by the exhaust of an F18 fighter jet. If it were’nt for an aircraft maintenance person that was on the fantail of the ship who reached out and grabbed me by my float-coat, I would have been shark food. Thank God he was there at that time.

Stop worrying:despair:

you can go through life wondering what will kill you, because we have no idea when our time here on earth is going to end. This is why I say live life to it’s fullest. Stop worrying about every little thing that can go wrong. Go get out there and have some fun. Take a trip, go see some friends or family members.

The country is starting to open up a little bit here and there. We have a vaccine now, did you get your yet? I myself, my wife as well as my son who lives with us went and got our shots this past Thursday. The sooner everyone gets vaccinated, the sooner we can all get back to a more normal life.

I do not know what a normal life is going to look like after two years of being quarintened, but they say that the country is on the brink of an economic recovery, with more jobs being available, and less travel restrictions to follow. I don’t know about you, but all of this sounds pretty darn good to me. How does it sound to you? Can you wait for things to get back to normal?

Be Safe:Safety First:

It has been an uphill battle for just about everyone in the world lately, even though we have vaccines now, now is not the time to start going downhill. Do you want end up right back at square one, like we were last year? Yes go out and get a vaccine, but, please remember to continue to wear a mask when you are in public.

No matter how safe you think a place is, there is always the possibility that someone has not gotten their vaccine shot, and can pass the virus on to you. The vaccine does not make you ten feet tall and bullet proof. That’s what the whiskey is for. Can this be the end of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey? I do not have the answer to that question at this moment. I will let you know the moment that I find out.

Remember to drink responsibly, and never drink and drive. The life you save may very well be your own. Sincerely: John D. Have a blessed day my friends.

The Classic Martini With A Twist:

Who does’nt love a good Martini? I mean this classic cocktail used to be a household staple. You would come home from work, head over to the liquor counter and whip up one for yourself, as well as one for your spouse. Or perhaps your spouse would meet you at the front door with one in their hand for you. Those were the good old days. Ask your grandparents about it some day, provided that they are still with us. Nowadays, the cocktail has evolved into spectacular drinks that we once again crave. The classic martini with a twist will be theme of today’s recipes. I hope that you find something that will intrigue you, and make you want to visit this classic cocktail once again. Lemon Drop Martini:Lemon Drop Goodness:

This is the adult version of one of our favorite childhood candies. Tart yet sweet, the Lemon Drop is typically drank as a shot or straight up in a martini glass. Add a sugar rim to your glass for an added kick of sweetness.

1) 2 ounces of vodka

2) 1/2 an ounce of cointreau

3) 1/2 an ounce of fresh Lemon Juice

4) Sugar to rim the glass ( optional )

The 50/50 Martini:Perfect Martini:

The cocktail we know as the martini, has a muddy origin story. It’s name has changed over the years, as have its contents. But by the early 20th century, what we now refer to as the martini was codified as a mix of London Dry Gin and dry vermouth, garnished with a lemon twist or an olive or two. Since then, it has permeated the American culture and become an unrivaled symbol of sophistication. In its famous conical glass, the martini is a visual currency the world over, on millions of menus and neon signs. In many ways the martini is THE cocktail.

Our take on the perfect martini consists of half Botanist Gin and half dry vermouth. This is the lighter variation, making it the perfect cocktail for spring and summer weather.

Ingredients:

1) 1 1/2 ounces of Botanist Gin

2) 1 1/2 ounces of Dry Vermouth

3) A dash of Orange Bitters

4) Lemon peels or olives for the garnish ( Not Optional )

To Make; Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, and stir until outside of the glass becomes frosted. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or a couple of olives.

French Martini:Flavorful Martini:

Originally created for Chambord’s worldwide promotion, the key ingredient to this cocktail is the Chambord Liqueur. The unique feature for this drink is that it was created specifically for a liqueur, which means substituting it would leave a bland taste.

Ingredients:

1) 1 1/2 ounces of Vodka

2) 1/4 of an ounce of Chambord Raspberry Liqueur

3) 1/4 of an ounce of Pineapple Juice

4) 1 Twist of a Lemon peel to garnish

To Make; Pour all ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker, shake vigorously for 5 – 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and enjoy.

Olivette:Light Martini:

In this lighter version of the classic Gin Martini, St.Germain provide the perfect balance of flavors: the botanicles of the Gin, the wine notes of the vermouth, and the fruity notes of the St.- Germain.

Ingredients:

1) 1/2 an ounce of St.-Germain Elderflower Liqueur

2) 1 ounce of Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth

3) 1 ounce of Oxley Dry Gin

To Make; Add ingredients into a chilled mixing glass filled with ice cubes. Stir well to combine and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a green olive or two. Enjoy.

The Churchill Martini:A True Classic:

A quirky and complicated man, Winston Churchill was known for his love of livations. when, asked how he would like his Gin Martini prepared he replied ” I would like to observe the vermouth from across the while I drink my martini”. Served chilled and neat, this cocktail contains nothing more than gin and ice in proximity to a bottle of vermouth. Wacky and unique just like its name sake.

Ingredients:

1) 2 1/2 ounces of Plymouth Gin

2) 1 scoop of ice

3) 1 green olive to garnish

To Make; Add gin to a mixing glass full of ice cubes and stir until well chilled. While stirring, glance occasionally at a bottle of vermouth from across the room. Srain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a single green olive. Enjoy

Martinique:Variation Of The French Martini:

A variation of the French Martini, this recipe replaces the pineapple juice for the more exotic Caribbean flavor of mango. Chambord is one of our favorite cocktail additions– when we restock our bar, we always make sure a bottle of this is on the list.

Ingredients:

1) 2 ounces of Chambord

2) 1 ounce of Vodka

3) 1/2 an ounce of lemon juice

4) 1/2 an ounce of mango juice

To Make; Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with some ice cubes, and shake until frosty cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass, then enjoy. No garnish needed.

Apple Cider Honey Jack Martini:Apple Jack For Adults:

This cider honey martini is fall in a glass, but works just as well for the spring and summer months. The perfect balance of sweet and tart. Thanks to yummy ingredients like apple cider, fresh lemon juice, Honey Jack, and a pinch of cinnamon. Doesn’t this sound sophisticated?

Ingredients:

1) 2 ounces of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Whiskey

2) 1 ounce of unfiltered apple cider

3) 1/2 an ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice

4) Fresh ground cinnamon to taste*

5) Sliced apples for the garnish ( optional )

To Make: Combine Honey Jack, lemon, and cider in a cocktail shaker with some ice and a pinch of cinnamon, shake until well chilled. Rim the martini glass with a mixture of ground cinnamon and sugar. Strain the liquid into the martini glass, then garnish with the apple slices if you choose to do so. Enjoy any time of the year.

Try these classic martini with a twist and please let me know if they made you feel a little more sophisticated or not.

Rye Whiskey The Future Of Cocktails:

In the past there has only been a handful of alcohols for us to use to make our favorite cocktails with. In the more recent years there has been a new trend in the cocktail world. Even though these whiskeys have been around for many years, many of us, myself included, have ignored them. Now with the new trend in high gear, I say that rye whiskey is the future of cocktails. Do you want to jump on this band wagon with me? For years I have been a bourbon lover, and I am ready to try something new. It has taken me thirty years to get to this point, however, I hear that drinking bourbon is very close to drinking rye whiskey. So I guess that it is not that far of a leap, I am all about baby steps when it comes to trying something new.

Turning Water Into Wine Craft:

We have all heard the story of Jesus turning water into wine. Some people say that story is a farse, not true. Do you believe it to be true? The making of wine is a long process, good wine takes even more time. While I was growing up, my family and I attended church on Sundays, and, yes, I went to conformation class as well as Sunday school. The story about Jesus turning water into wine was one that was told to us. I for one believe that took place, as far as miracles go, that is a pretty good one in my book. Now, we don’t have Jesus here on earth, so we need to make our own wine from water. This all starts with a simple seed, and what do seeds need to germinate? That’s right, water. So, it not so hard to believe that we can turn water into wine after all. Remember, that all alcohol is still on sale now until the 22nd. use code LUCKY7 at checkout.

Wine For All Occasions:Pizza And Wine:

Having a glass wine should not be reserved for special occasions, or fancy meals. You can drink wine with any meal that you are having. Planning on having a pizza night? Stop off and grab a bottle of red wine.

Red wine is not just for beef dishes, it pairs really well with pizza and pastas as well. And, remember, red wine is better for your heart health. Some doctors say that a glass of red wine a day is good for your arteries. You will thank me for this later. Here is my favorite red wine to serve my friends and family, Woodbridge Merlot by Robert Mondavi. Grab a bottle or two today, it’s not expensive at all, around $10.00 a bottle.

Wine For Easter:

Wine at the dinner table has been a long-standing tradition in my home. Especially for easter dinner, and this tradition goes as far back to days when Jesus was here with us. At the last supper, he broke bread, and said eat, this is of my body, drink, this is of my blood, as long as you do this I will always be in your hearts.

Churches all around still do this tradition every Sunday during the services. Now, if you believe in the father, the son, and the holy ghost, drinking wine keeps us closer to the son who sits at the right hand of the father. Just one way I can help you to justify drinking a glass of wine in the middle of the day, you can always say it’s for religious reasons. This way no one will judge you. Besides, the only one to judge you is the all mighty creator God.

What wine should you have for easter dinner? That depends on what you are going to be serving, if you are like most people, a ham is probably on the menu. Keep in mind that ham is not a white meat, no matter what they say pork is not the other white meat. Ham and other pork products are a red meat, therefor, you should serve a red wine with this. Jesus died for our sins, drink some red wine of his blood to keep him in your hearts. The Crucifiction Of Jesus:

White Wines:

Now, we are all done with the lessons in religion. Let’s talk about white wine. Typically, white wines are on the sweeter side. They also have more carbohydrates in them. Being on the sweeter side is what makes them more atractive to a lot of people, myself included. I do like to have a glass of white wine from time to time.

White wines pair real well with white meats, like chicken, as well as fish. White meats tend to be the dry side, so, with this the sweetness of the white wine brings out the nuances of the white meats. Plus, it makes the white meats more palatable. Meaning, easier to eat. The sweetness make it easier to tolerate the dry meats and fish.

Yes, I have a favorite white wine, and I will absolutely share it with you. I will even give you a link, so you can try it for yourself. How does that sound? Maybe I can help to make life a little bit easy for you. Help to take some stress out of your day. This is one white wine that both, my wife and I like, our son that lives with us also likes this one. Risata Moscato d’Asti We will most likely be taking a bottle or two of this with us for our weekend get away in Lake George, this weekend. Wait till you try it, it will quickly become a favorite of yours as well. So don’t wait pick up a bottle or two today.Perfectly Sweet:

Drink What You Like:

That’s right, drink whatever it is that you enjoy drinking. It does’nt matter if it’s white wine or if it’s red wine. As long as you have Jesus in your hearts, everything will be fine. The two wines that I have listed here for you, are both a reasonable price.

I am not trying to break the bank here, just trying to help you by giving you what I like to drink. Of course, if you don’t like what I have, you can always shop for something that you have in mind. The links will get you there, you do not have to purchase those products. These two wines are simply the wines that my family and I enjoy drinking.

Perhaps you do not like to drink alcohol, that is perfectly fine. There are plenty of non- alcoholic beverages on the market today. Welches sparkling grape juice is a good one. I have bought that to serve to kids, so they thought they were getting the same as the adults. Here is another good non-alcoholic wine to try. Fre Alcohol- Removed Chardonnay

Have A Happy Easter:

I want each and every one of you to have a blessed and happy easter, no matter how you decide to celebrate. I hope that you teach your children the true meaning of easter. At least when they are old enough to understand. For now let them enjoy being young and believing in the easter bunny, that brings candy to them. Hopefully you enjoyed turning water into wine craft with me today.

Remember to drink responsibly, and never drink and drive. The life you save may very well be your own. Sincerely: John D. Have a blessed weekend my friends.

A Few Ways To Enjoy Guinness Besides Drinking It:

With St. Patrick’s day right around the corner many of us will be enjoying a pint or two of Guinness Stout Beer, myself excluded. For today’s article I thought that it might be a little fun to share a few ways to enjoy Guinness besides drinking it. So, I have found a few ways to include this world-famous stout in a couple of recipes, including a nice sweet desert for you. Don’t worry, I still have a cocktail recipe for you to enjoy after one of these meals. And, it is a very fitting one for the up- coming holiday. It is also a very easy drink to make, no complications included. I hope that enjoy these recipes that I have found for you. You are the reason that I do this, I just want to help you save some time and some money as well.

Rib Eye With Brussels Sprouts And Cream Stout Sauce:Rib Eye Steak:

This intense sauce is thickened with bread and enriched with dark stout. Pairs well with any steak, particularly a thick cut like this rib eye. Also, you have a hearty mix of sauteed onions and brussels sprouts to go along with this meal.

Ingredients:

Stout Sauce:

1) 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

2) 1 cup of Spanish onion thinly sliced

3) 1/2 cup of dark stout ( Guinness is a good choice )

4) 1/2 cup of heavy cream

5) 1 slice of sourdough bread ( cut 2- inch thick, crusts removed and bread diced)

6) Kosher salt

7) Fresh ground black pepper

8) Guinness Stout Beer

Vegetables:

1) 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

2) 1/2 pound of Brussels sprouts halved

3) 8 cipollini onions, peeled and halved lengthwise

4) 4 spring onions quartered lengthwise

5) Kosher salt

6) Fresh ground black pepper

Rib Eye:

1) 1 boneless rib eye steak ( 2 pounds about 2 inches thick )

2) Vegetable oil for brushing

3) Kosher salt

4) Fresh ground black pepper

To Make The Sauce:

Step One:

In a medium saucepan, heat oil until shimmering. Add the onion and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until softened and golden, about seven minutes. Add the Guinness stout, cream, bread, and bring just to a boil. Simmer over moderately low heat, stirring occasionally, until the bread is very soft, about ten minutes. Transfer the sauce to a blender and puree until smooth. Season the sauce with salt and freshly ground black pepper and keep warm over very low heat.

The Vegetables:

Step Two:

In a large skillet, heat the oil until shimmering. Add the Brussels sprouts and cipollinis, and cook over medium heat, stirring, just until they start to brown, about five minutes. Add in the spring onions and one cup of water and cook, stirring until the vegetables are crisp- tender and the water is absorbed, about five minutes. Season with salt and fresh ground black pepper, and keep warm.

Grill The Rib Eye:

Step Three:

Light a grill, any type will do just fine. Brush the steak with oil and season with salt and fresh ground black pepper. Grill over moderately high heat, turning once, until charred outside and medium- rare within, five minutes per side, this is if the steak has been pre- thawed, longer if still frozen. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for five minutes. Slice the steak against the grain and serve with the vegetables and stout sauce.

Guinness Glazed Halibut:Glazed Halibut With Carrots:

Guinness has a great molasses flavor that intensifies when you cook it down. It will add some richness to the fish without adding any fat to this recipe.

Ingredients:

1) Two 12 ounce bottles of Guinness Stout

2) 1/3 cup of honey

3) 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

4) Half teaspoon of hot sauce

5) Salt

6) Four 6- ounce skinless halibut fillets

7) Four large carrots, cut into 2-by 1/2 inch sticks

8) Extra virgin olive oil, for brushing

9) Freshly ground black pepper

To Make:

Step One:

In a skillet, bring the stout and honey to a boil. Simmer over medium heat, Skimming, until reduced to half a cup, about 25 minutes. Pour into a heat- proof bowl, and stir in the lemon juice, hot sauce, and half a teaspoon of salt. Let cool to room temperature.

Step Two:

In a shallow baking dish, pour half of the stout glaze over the halibut fillets and turn to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning the fillets a few times. Reserve the remaining glaze.

Step Three:

Preheat the broiler. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Add the carrots and boil until just tender, about four minutes, and drain. Pour the reserved stout glaze into the saucepan and boil over high heat until thickened and reduced to 1/3 cup, about two minutes. Add the carrots and simmer until well glazed, about one minute.

Step Four:

Remove the halibut from the marinade and arrange the fillets on a rimmed baking sheet. Brush the halibut with olive oil and season with fresh ground black pepper. Broil about four inches from the heat until richly browned and just cooked through, about four minutes. Transfer the halibut fillets to plates and serve with the Guinness glazed carrots.

Cut off and save one-third of the cake for eating. Slice the rest of the cake 1/3 inch thick. Cut the slices into 3-inch pieces, saving the scraps. Dip the slices into the reduction and use to fill in the gaps. Spread 1/4 cup of the filling over the cake in each ramekin. Repeat the layering of dipped cake and filling. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Step Six:

Before serving let the tiramisu stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Sift cocoa powder over each ramekin and serve.
