Cocktails That Get You Thinking About Warmer Weather:

I don’t know about you, but I am so over winter and all of this snow. Today as I look out the window where I sit and work, seeing the snow fall down once again, I have decided to start thinking about cocktails that get you thinking about warmer weather. Hang on for just a little while longer, I promise you that spring is just around the corner. Soon it will be time to push our clocks one hour forward. We are already seeing longer days now. We just be a little patient, and soon we can sit outside with the sun apon our faces, and enjoy a cocktail or two with friends, family, and neighbors. Perhaps, by the end of this article, you will be thinking about warmer weather yourselves. I know we all can’t wait to get outside and start mowing the lawns right? Brandy Alexander:Ultimate Adult Milkshake:

The ultimate adult milkshake. You can use brandy for this cocktail, or you can use gin, as they did in early versions of this cocktail. Serve this drink to anyone, and they are sure to become a new friend.


1) 1 ounce of Hennessy V. S. Cognac

2) 1 ounce of Creme de Cacao

3) 1 ounce of heavy cream, or whole milk

4) Fresh Nutmeg and Cinnamon for the garnish. Highly reccomended.

To Make; Add all ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker, and skake for 10- 15 seconds. Strain the liquid into a chilled highball glass, and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, as well as freshly grated nutmeg. Al  that is left to do is sip and enjoy. Chronic Iced Tea:Not Your Mothers Iced Tea:

A specialty drink that will elevate your bartending skills, and astonish your friends. Tastes more like iced tea then the iconic Long Island Iced Tea. This is a recipe that you will want to keep in your cocktail arsenal for years to come. Maybe even passdown to the grandkids.


1) 1 ounce of Pierre Ferrand Ambre Cognac

2) 1 ounce of Berenger Honey Liqueur

3) 1/2 an ounce of lemon juice

4) 3-4 ounces of your favorite iced tea

To Make; Add all ingredients, with the exception of the tea to a cocktail shaker, shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Pour the ingredients into a pint glass, and top off with the tea, and garnish with a lemon wedge. I think this cocktail would be perfect for lunch on a warm day, or perhaps warm you up on a cold day.

Re`my Ginger:

Can you tell that I’m starting to lean towards warmer weather? This cocktail is perfect for a warm spring Saturday afternoon. Have one to celebrate getting the lawn mowed. I know that I will.


1) 2 ounces of R`emy Martin VSOP

2) 4 ounces of Ginger Beer, you can substitute the ginger beer with ginger ale. Not everyone likes ginger beer.

3) 1 Lime wedge

4) 1 Pineapple ring, between 1/4 and 1/2 inch thick

5) Cinnamon

6) Black pepper

To Make; Season the pineapple ring with cinnamon and black pepper. Grill for aproximately 6-8 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Cut into larger pieces that can used as a rim- garnish for the drink. Pour 2 ounces of the Re`my Martin VSOP over ice in a highball glass, and top off with the ginger beer or ginger ale. Squeeze a little lime juice into the cocktail, stir, and garnish with the spiced, grilled pineapple wedges. A perfect cocktail to celebrate getting the lawn mowed, or the driveway shoveled, if you decide to have one today.Your New Saturday Afternoon:

Spiked Lemonade:

Another cool, refreshing cocktail to welcome the arrival of warmer weather, Add in some friends, a roof-top, or a backyard and you have the perfect recipe for a fantastic gathering.


1) 1 1/2 ounces of Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach Liqueur

2) 3 ounces of lemonade

To Make; Add all ingredients into an ice filled highball glass. Pour in the Grand Marnier along with the lemonade. Garnish with a lemon wheel. Get some friends together for a BBQ and make this drink by the pitcher.


The Re`my Sidecar:

A classic cocktail to turn any home into a castle, feel like a king as you sip and enjoy this smooth cocktail.


1) 2 ounces of Re`my Martin 1738

2) 3/4 of an ounce of Cointreau

3) 3/4 of an ounce of lemon juice, freshly squeezed is best

To Make; Comobimne all of the ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake for about 10 seconds, and strain into a champagne coup glass. you can garnish with a peel from an orange, but this is optional, and only for show if you want to be fancy.
