Many years ago, before a lot of us were even born, one man had a dream of equality. A day when people of all color and races could walk down a street hand in hand. To this day, that has not happened, some people are still filled with hate in their hearts. I have a dream, cocktails for freedom. Perhaps we can sit down at the table and enjoy a drink or two together, no matter what color our skin is. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a man of prejudice. I just do not understand why we still have all this hate in the world. Maybe one day we as a one race will be able accept one another. And be able to put aside all the animosity t words one another. That is my goal in life, even if it just to sit and have a cocktail or two.

1) 1 1/4 ounces of Guillotine Heritage Barrel- Aged Vodka
2) 7 whole pink peppercorns, muddled
3) 3 chucks of watermelon muddled
4) 1/4 ounce of bitter orange liqueur
5) 3/4 of an ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice
6) Half an ounce of agave syrup
7) 3 dashes of house made tincture
To Make; In a cocktail shaker, shake all the ingredients, and fine strain into a rocks glass ( short glass ) and garnish with a piece of banana leaf and Chile threads.
1) 1 bottle of ros’e
2) 1 bag of frozen raspberries
3) 1 cup of simple syrup
4) 2 lemons
5) 4 drops of red food coloring
Garnish: 4 packs of Pop Rocks and 1 Granny Smith apple.
To Make; Pour the bottle of ros’e into a glass baking dish. The larger the surface area, the faster the ros’e will freeze. When the ros’e is mostly frozen, begin preparing the berry mixture. Blend one bag of frozen raspberries, one cup of simple syrup, 4 drops of the red food coloring, and the juice of one lemon using a blender until the mixture is smooth.
Add the frozen ros’e to the berry mixture in the blender, and pulse lightly to combine. Pour the mixture back into the baking dish and place back in the freezer for one hour. At this time, prepare the serving glasses while the fros’e solidifies. Open one pack of pop-rocks and pour onto a small plate. Use a lemon slice to wet the edge of each glass, and dip into the pop-rocks. Work quickly as the pop-rocks stick better when the glasses are moist. Open more packets of pop-rocks as needed.
Vertically slice the Granny Smith apple into1/4 inch thick rounds. Using a star shaped cookie cutter, cut apple stars from the slices. Cut a slit from the stars center to one outer point. Use this slit to wedge the Apple star onto the rim of the glass.( To prevent the apple slices from browning, sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice on them immediately after cutting them. )
Remove the ros’e from the freezer and scrape into a pitcher. Stir. Evenly distribute the frozen drink between all the garnished glasses, and enjoy. I have a dream, cocktails for freedom has come to an end. I hope that you give some of these a try with some friends. If you do please stop back and let me know if you liked them. I truly wish for equality on this earth, hopefully before I pass away.
Remember to drink responsibly, and never drink and drive, the life you save my very well be your own. Sincerely: your friend John D. Have a blessed weekend friends.
