Today I want to talk about someone very special to each one of us. Can you guess who that is? This year we are doing something a little different, my son and I are going to my sister in laws for a back-yard barbecue. Now I plan on bringing the alcohol to picnic. So the plan is to serve low calorie cocktails for mother’s day, maybe you could join in on this plan of mine. Stay home and make some of these cocktails for your mother, and grill some burgers and hot-dogs. Invite all of your siblings and maybe a neighbor or two. Just remember to keep the gathering small. Ketal Botanical Grapefruit And Soda:Low Calorie Vodka:

Ingredients:

1) 1 1/2 ounces of Blanco Tequila

2) 2 ounces of fresh lime juice

3) 1/4 of an ounce of Agave Necter

4) A splash of club soda ( optional )

To Make; Combine all ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker, shake until good and cold. Condensation will form on the outside of the shaker, then the mixture is good and cold. Pour the mixture and ice into a salt rimmed glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Serve and enjoy.

Strongbow Artisinal Blend Mojito:Easy Mojito:

To Make; Place one cranberry mint ice cube in the bottom of a rocks glass. Pour in the Vodka and top off with the spiked seltzer. Mix gently, and enjoy.

Cranberry Mint Ice Cubes; Evenly distribute fresh cranberries and mint leaves throughout a silicone ice cube tray mold. Place filled mold into your freezer and allow to set up for up to six hours. Once frozen completely cubes can be stored in a zip lock freezer bag for up to six months.

Ingredients:

3) 1 ounce of water

To Make; In a cocktail shaker, combine Tequila, lemon juice, water, agave syrup, and a small pinch of cayenne pepper with some ice. Shake vigorously until well chilled. Pour into a rocks glass, and garnish with a lemon wedge dusted with salt and cayenne pepper. Enjoy

Ingredients:

1) 4 ounces of White Wine

2) 2 ounces of club soda

3) 1 ounce of lemonade

To Make; Fill a wine glass 1/4 of the way up with ice cubes. Add white wine, soda, and lemonade. Garnish with a fresh lemon wedge. It is alright to use a store bought pre- made lemonade mix, or a powder mix. We won’t judge you for it.

Paloma:Better Than A Margarita:

The bitter flavor of grapefruit mixed with the bold flavor of tequila equal a surprisingly easy- drinking cocktail. In Mexico, the paloma is actually preferred over margaritas! A traditional Paloma is made with grapefruit soda, bur I like this version that calls for grapefruit juice. You will not be let down, I promise you that my friends.

Ingredients:

1)2 ounces of Tequila Blanco

2) 4 ounces of Grapefruit Juice

3) Pinch of salt

4) 1/2 ounce of lime juice

5) Club Soda ( optional )

To Make; Add all ingredients to an ice filled Collins glass ( tall Glass ) and stir to combine. Top off with some club soda ( optional )
