I know it sounds old-fashioned, like something that grandmother drank while grandpa was off fighting the war. But, today we have a new twist on an old favorite.
2oz. Of vodka
1oz. Lemon juice
Half oz. Of honey syrup
To prepare: Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, and double strain into a coupe glass. Then top off with the prsecco. This one is sure to be a winner at your next dinner party, or any other gathering you may have this summer. Make sure you try this one while the raspberries are in season. Although, I am pretty sure you can use frozen raspberries if you want to make this one in the winter. No one will know the difference.
Does’nt this one sound refreshing for summer night, after a long hard day at work? I know it sounds good to me, as I’m writing this article.

Jerry The Icelandic Sailor:
1oz. Of vodka
1oz. Of sailor Jerry rum
Half an oz. Of lemon juice
Half an oz. Of peach juice, or nectar
To prepare: Combine heavy cream and pumpkin pie spice into a cocktail shaker and shake. Add vodka and coffee liqueur, and shake with ice. Serve this on the rocks ( with ice ) and garnish with cocoa puffs. I know it sounds weird, you have to trust me on this one. Combine the rest of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker, except the bitters. We add a dash or two at the end. Shake the drink, then double strain. And serve over crushed ice, garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.

Well, it is getting late here in New York state. Who am I kidding, it is only 11:30am on a Tuesday morning. I am still sitting at work and talking about vodka drinks you can make at home. it is a good thing that my supervisor does not mind that I write these articles while I am at work. Since the office is a bit slow at the moment. He doesn’t mind as long as I keep my eyes open and I continue to help the members, and guests that come in the lobby.
As always, I love you all. Please drink responsibly, and do not drink and drive.
sincerely: John D.
